The ABC's of Export Control

LIVE Webcast

Summary:

Export control of equipment, technology, and services is highly regulated and tightly controlled by the U.S. Government. A simple mistake of sending information or equipment to the wrong place, person, or company may cause your company to face a number of fines and a possible ban from exporting. Officials in agencies such as the Department of Defense, State Department, and Customs Service would like to see even tougher control of exports to minimize the chance of strategic technology falling into unfriendly hands. On the other hand, the Department of Commerce favor reduced restrictions to improve the trade deficit and encourage high-tech innovation.

This one hour seminar will help you maneuver the maze of regulations. It will cover:
(1) Commercial and dual-use products, technology, and software under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) as administered by Department of Commerce; and
(2) Defense articles, services and technical data under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as administered by the Department of State.

It includes a discussion of deemed exports and other enforcement areas as well as practical recommendations on how to comply with U.S. Export Control regulations. Register now!
