FAS 133-b and FIN 45-c will cover financial statements issued for fiscal years ending after November 15, 2008. This will apply to credit derivatives within the scope of Statement 133. During the initial adoption stage, earlier disclosure will be merely an option until it becomes fully effective when early application will become a requirement. Your company could likely be one of those affected by these statements. Awareness of what these rules are all about and what it can do to your business is very critical. Be guided by experts and avoid sanctions in the end.
The Knowledge Congress is assembling a panel of experts who will discuss the effects these disclosures will create to affected entities as well as their recommendations on how your company can adapt to this new system.
